A Greek-Cypriot Wedding
at the Athens Riviera
Beneath the clear blue sky of the Athens Riviera, a wonderful blend of cultures and traditions came together in the joyous celebration of this Greek-Cypriot wedding. During the beautiful ‘Stolisma’ tradition, which was performed separately for the bride and groom, the air filled with traditional Cypriot wedding melodies, calling all the relatives to give their blessings. A red scarf gracefully passed around the waists of the bride and groom, a symbol of fertility.
Coming all the way from London, the bride and groom, along with their guests, brought a cosmopolitan flair to the sun-kissed coast. With the sparkling sea as their backdrop, every moment was wonderful. It was a testament to the enduring beauty of love and the richness of cultural heritage.

Ceremony & Reception with a View
The Greek Orthodox ceremony was held outside at a stunning chapel with a view of the sea and the sailboats. The bride made a grand entrance in a vintage car, surrounded by pastel flowers and a dreamy cream rose bouquet. Every detail, down to the seating plan outside the church, was meticulously thought out.
The true standout moments were the lovely family photographs and the captivating sunset couple portraits that followed the ceremony.

The Greek Party
One thing is for sure: Greek Cypriots know how to party! With the sounds of a Greek band and the bouzouki and a wonderful lady singer alternating with the DJ, the dancing party went on for hours.
The most memorable part of the night? When the couple had their first dance surrounded by sparkling fountains and a backdrop of twinkling fairy lights. Undeniably magical!
