Wedding with Mediterranean Flair

Beatrice & Constantine

A dream destination wedding at the Athens Riviera for this Greek-Italian-American couple, their families and lucky guests.

Beatrice and Constantine knew they wanted Greece for their wedding because they simply knew they couldn’t go wrong with it as the weather, the food and the wine are always amazing and everyone wants to come for a holiday. They had already been to Italy for their civil marriage, so Greece was the first in the list for their bigger wedding and party.

Having fallen in love with Island Art & Taste’s romantic venue and the astonishing sea view, this was the place they wanted to say ‘I Do’.

The ceremony was Greek Orthodox, honoring the Greek side of the groom and his family traditions, and took place at the most picturesque chapel of Aghios Georgios.

White floral arrangements with olive trees and eucalyptus adorned the wedding ceremony in a minimal chic style with Mediterranean touches that we absolutely loved.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds had their bridal portraits at a cliff side overlooking the sea while their guests enjoyed a refreshing cocktail at the reception.

They wanted to keep every minute of their big day alive and storytelling photography as well as feeling comfortable and communicating well with their photographer was very important to them.

The cocktail hour was really fun. The new husband and wife wanted to mix and mingle with their guests and thank them for coming so after making an entrance they enjoyed a glass of champagne with their beloved ones.

The dinner was held at the higher level, grass area of Island Private House and eventhough it was an early May evening, the temperature was pleasant and the sky was starry, adding to the magic of the event.

For the décor and flowers, Beatrice wanted a neutral palette that would frame the natural beauty of the landscape so she chose white, cream, green and gold.

For Beatrice and Constantine, nothing was more important than to take care of their guests and share with them their love story. Our favorite part of the wedding were the speeches, they made us laugh a lot and also cry a little bit.

Their first dance, following the cake cutting, was so romantic! They danced in a sea of magic twinkles while all the guests stood around them holding sparklers.

It was definitely a very special and emotional celebration with the couple’s favorite people being present and their positive vibes creating an abundance of memories to cherish for a lifetime.
