How beautiful and creative a planning cooperation can be when it starts with good vibes, trust and lots of imagination!
The first communication was when the baby’s mother contacted our office while looking for a venue to host the christening ceremony and reception for her baby girl. We soon started working on the Christening concept and one idea followed another in an easy and productive way. When the mother-client-new friend said spontaneously: ‘Everything is so marvelous and unique, so much better that I could ever imagine for my daughter!’, the feelings of satisfaction went beyond the actual creations themselves.
We were based on the color palette of pale pink and mint green but also on the mermaid theme, being inspired by a mermaid picture that the baby girl had in her bathroom. This picture was re-designed and painted in hand- by Maria Kassotaki- and then implemented on the invitations, the christening candle and the accessories as well as a clutch bag that we made for the mother. The favors offered to the ladies had the ‘mati’ charm to protect from bad energy and the ones offered to the gentlemen had a beautiful boat key chain- all including delicious chocolate sugar almonds.
The garland of the baptismal font, a graceful arrangement with hydrangeas and big roses, contributed in the elegant yet impressive decoration as well as the white bamboo baskets with fresh flowers, shells and starfish. The highlight of the event was a dessert table, that had it all…everything from cupcakes, cake pops & handmade cookies to a two-tier cake with a mermaid topper out of sugar paste!
